Aloha Reader
On April 3rd, I turn 48.
And before I blow out the candles, I feel called to do something more meaningful than celebrate — I want to re-introduce myself. Because the truth is: I have changed. I have evolved. And I can't fully show up for you until I let you see who I've become.
First — who is Thuy? (The real version.)
I'm Thuy, pronounced "Twee" — easy to remember: one, two, Twee. 🌸
I'm a multi-dimensional guide: a Chinese face reader, a space clearing practitioner, a keeper of rituals of stillness, a muse, a mom, and a soulpreneur. I help people — and the companies they build — create spaces and lives that actually feel like them. I still do spray tans but I'm letting that unfold however it will. I'm walking into my corporate muse future self with face reading, space clearings, and tea ceremonies. Teeth whitening is growing thing aligned with all this as well because your smile is your trademark.
My most important job is being a mom to Bella. She teaches me so much and has a Magic Bellafication to everything. (She's learning how to become a magician) She's an Aries as well (4/14)
We come from a long line of women who built things from nothing. My grandmother built 21 homes in Vietnam with no formal education. My mother escaped Vietnam in 1983, learned cosmetology, and bought a nail salon for $5,000 — before she even had her license. Entrepreneurship isn't something I chose. It's simply what I am.
What this past season has taught me.
I've walked through illness — Crohn's disease — and it cracked me open in ways nothing else could have. My body became exquisitely sensitive to everything: the energy of people, of spaces, of land. I couldn't ignore what I'd always sensed. I had no choice but to go deeper.
I'm now navigating MCAS, mast cell activation syndrome. The 6 month protocal I'm on with it is completely the opposite of my protocal with the GAPS diet I was on last year. So this spring season my word is FRESH because all my food has to be fresh with the strict LOW HISTAMINE diet I'm on. I'll be sharing with you what health bits from that. (For this reason I'm going to be doing the SK60 program again, more to come later)
Illness brought me to my practices. To the tea ceremony, which became medicine for me before it became a tool for others. To the understanding that stillness is not a luxury — it is the ground from which everything meaningful grows.
I used to fight my body. Now it's my most honest compass.
What I know now at 48 that I didn't before:
✦ Energy, intention, and ritual are not soft add-ons to the work. They are the work. ✦ Shift a space and you shift what's possible inside it. ✦ Your face is a map of your gifts, your patterns, and your potential. ✦ Community is medicine. We are not meant to do this alone. ✦ Peace in your head, heart, and home is not a luxury. It's your birthright. You gotta SMILE (start your internal love engine) and laugh at it all because the universe is the ultimate joker!
So, what's this new chapter about?
More depth. More authenticity. More of me — which means more of what's real for you. Both my websites are being rebuilt now. The SoYouBoutique.Net was done 14 years ago! The layout right now is soooo wonky!
I'm here to bring peace to your head, heart, and home. Whether that's through reading your face, clearing your space, sharing a cup of tea, brightening up your smile, or walking alongside you as you step into the version of yourself you've been growing toward.
I see you. I hear you. I feel you. And I see what becomes possible when you finally feel it too. 🦋
With so much love and birthday fire,Thuy 🌸

P.S. — I'd love to hear from you, just hit REPLY. I personally respond to all my emails. "What's one thing you'd love to shift this year?👩💻
P.S.S — IF you are like me where you want are more mindful of what you and your family are eating, below are delicous recipes from my friend Tess Masters, who I'm doing the Skinny60 program with. Just make them, you'll thank us later!
BRUNCH RECIPES
Berry Parfaits - This is still one of my all-time favorite brunch recipes. Use any fruit and nuts or seeds you have. Substitute any unsweetened yogurt for the cashew cream. These are always a huge hit with kids and adults.
Chai Rice Pudding from The Blender Girl cookbook. My friend Gena shared it on her site. Warning: This is so delicious, it's hard to stop eating!
Apple Pie Smoothie - blend up this delectable drink in less time than it takes to pre-heat your oven. This tastes like the most amazing slice of pie a-la-mode. I put these on the table in little shot glasses like Easter eggnog.
LUNCH AND DINNER
Vegan Caesar - NOBODY will know this is a vegan version. You'll want to lick the dressing right out of the blender. People go absolutely nuts for this. For vegans, add some grilled Pumfu or tofu for extra protein. If you eat animal protein, add chicken, bacon, or eggs.
Arugula Salad with Lemon Mint Vinaigrette - This is the salad you make when you want to wow people. Serve with any grilled plant or animal protein for a stunning meal with very little fuss. (The dressing....the dressing...the dressing. You'll want to smother everything in sight.)
Lemon Asparagus Risotto - This is fresh and light with a delightful fresh flavor. It is delicious without cheese. But, add some shaved parmesan, if you like.
Mushroom Stroganoff - Still one of my go-to one-pot dishes to wow people. This is one of those dishes where you MMMM your delight with every bite.
DESSERT
I'm only giving you one option, because I want this cake to be in your life.
I get SO many emails about this cake.
Lemon Cake - The easiest cake on the planet. Just through everything into the blender, pour into a springform tin, and bake. If you want to look like a gourmet chef in 15 minutes, this is the cake you make. It also freezes really well. (NOTE: You must use the full 4 cups of almond flour for this cake to work.)
Have a great holiday weekend eating delicious food and making memories with family and friends.
