Today is International Women's Day — one of those dates that holds more meaning for me every year. St. Patrick's Day is another. Both fall this month, and so does Ramadan. March is full.

Yesterday, I hosted a FREE event with two of my DOT sisters at the Corky Library in Denver. Sue is a music teacher. Zahra is German-Iranian. Together, we gathered around the theme of CREATIVITY.

I led a tea ceremony to drop us into stillness, ritual, and presence. Between each sip, we drew and wrote — calling in our senses, our ancestors, and asking: how will I serve my community with my creativity?

When we get still, we hear the gentle nudges of the soul. The conversation that follows comes from the heart. It becomes a safe container to share, to be seen.

My messages that came through: Serve and it will be given. Circle back. Trust — the path appears. Community is medicine. Show them their beauty.

We then each shared a piece of art from our lives — sculptures, jewelry, paintings, tapestry. I brought a song.

I've been doing The Artist's Way, and one of the prompts asks: what do you wish you did more of? I wrote: sing, write poetry, play music.

Then — synchronicity — I was introduced to an app called SUNO. You write the lyrics, and it generates the music and a vocalist to sing it. I wrote a song about creativity using affirmations I'm working with right now. I played it for the group, and it landed perfectly.
