🌙 23 Years Ago Today, I Opened a Door I Didn't Know Would Change My Life

It's Fri-YAY! What are you celebrating `Reader` 🎉

Today I'm celebrating So You Boutique's 23rd anniversary. Woke up at 2:22am. (angel number for alignment/dreams come true) Spirit tapped me on the shoulder: "This was the day you opened So You Boutique in Springfield, MO in 2003. "

I'd honestly forgotten. It took a podcast that dropped this week with my planning coach, Mia Moran, on Flow365 to remind me. She asked me questions that cracked something open. I heard myself telling my own story and thought: wait, when did I get so wise? 😂

That's the thing about flow. You're so busy living it, you don't realize you're in it until someone hands you a mirror.

🎭 The Universe Is the Ultimate Joker

Here's what 23 years of this journey has taught me: everything opens exactly when it's supposed to.

Not when you planned it. Not when your five year plan said it would. When it's ready and when you're ready.

Some things take 23 years to arrive. Every single step, including the messy ones, was required. Not optional. Required. You don't get to skip the chapters you don't like.

Amidst the chaos, there is creativity. ✨ The universe is a far better writer than we are. Sometimes the plot twist is so good, so specifically right, that you couldn't have written it yourself if you tried.

🐢 From Clothing Racks to Corporate Muse

So You Boutique didn't stay one thing. It couldn't:

👗 Started as a straight-up clothing boutique in Springfield, MO
🚐 Went mobile with spray tanning in Denver, CO
🌟 Got a spray-tan feature on Good Day Colorado within 3 months of privot and that lit the fuse on everything after

🏠 Landed in couple physical locations
💔 I had to shut it down due to new landlords converting the unit to a business high rise
🏡Worked out of my home again with lots of breakdowns with my Crohn's condition.
🦋 Now: I'm doing the same things with a updated website to embody the rebirth me. I'm in a location, mobile, and remote where I can do services over ZOOM with space clearing, face reading, and the tea ceremony. I offer parties, events, training, pop-ups where I design it for intention of the highest good. It's a party with a purpose

Funded in ways I'd never officially recommend as a business plan ~ let's just say the early days were scrappy in ways I still shake my head at. 😅 Luckily I didn't get put in jail and the guy is now a doctor and happily married with 2 kids living in California! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

💰 Your Riches Are In Your Relationships

People call me lucky. I am because one of my mantras is "I'm the luckiest person in love and life."(Steal this and program this into your aura.) But luck isn't the asset ~ relationships are.

Every time I needed something done, the answer was never a how. It was always a who.

That's also where my hardest lesson lives: the blurry line between friendship and business. I've lived in that blur my whole career, and it hasn't always served me. Most recently, it cost me three real friendships ~ ones I'm still grieving.

🌊 A Few Things I Keep Coming Back To

Seriously, the longest journey is the journey from your head to your heart. I’m doing business now with heart and healing, not hustle. ❤️‍🩹

✨ I know that the pauses are where the power is.

🙋🏽‍♀️Always start with energy first. A shift in energy is always followed by a shift in reality.

🛌🏽Rest is Power. When I'm rested my execution is more powerful.

🧘‍♀️You don’t have to know. You just have to trust, trust that you know.

Stillness remembers, hurry, forgets 🙏

Softness remembers, hardness forgets 🌸

Surrender members, fear forgets 🌊

Love, remembers doubt forgets 💞

🐢Slow is smooth and smooth as fast. Be smooth

⏳You’re always at the right place and at the right time.

🌈God puts a rainbow in every cloud, you just can’t see it sometimes

🪄Don’t magicalize. Intentionalize. When you intentionalize you magicalize (I'm a taoist, I talk in circles 🤓⭕)

🔮Remember your magic. Remember YOU ARE Magic.

🗣️You can’t say the wrong thing to the right person.

🌦️This too shall pass.

💞Live in such a way that if someone said something bad about you, no one would believe it.

🫶People will forget what you did, but they will always remember how you made them feel.

😈In my defense, the moon was full, and I was left unsupervised. (The full Moon is this Wednesday, July 29th. I have a ritual for you at the end of the email.)
